Quantum Physics and Real Estate
Welcome to the world of real estate as seen through the eyes of quantum physics. What follows are interesting tidbits based on my real estate experience and quantum knowledge. I see everyday life events through quantum theories that I first studied during the course of my Ph.D. in Physics and currently teach as a professor at Widener University. For more than 10 years, I have been teaching students different fields of physics and in particular quantum mechanics. I have also been working on nationally and internationally recognized research projects in the field of quantum optics, specifically interaction of light with matter. I relate quantum physics phenomena to my social life and interactions with people around me. This is why I am also known as "The Quantum Agent." I am certain that more mind tickling quantum ideas will emerge soon as you and I, together, enjoy our real estate journey. Have a “quantumly” fascinating reading.
The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle: Selling a beloved home, or buying a dream house is an emotional process that generates quite some energy inside each one of us. The high emotions and energy urge us to act and move fast. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle teaches us that focusing on the speed of action leads to an uncertainty in position. While motion is critically important, we have to equally pay attention to position. As your agent, my job is to keep our focus balanced. I check on our position every step of the way and make sure that we are in the right place, moving in the right direction.
Interference: Real estate transactions commonly involve two parties. When the two parties are on the same page (called in–phase), a constructive and positive interference occurs and the outcomes are rewarding. In contrary, if the two parties are on different pages (called opposite in-phase), a destructive and negative interference occurs which leads to a sad ending for what could have been a positive life changing event. Unfortunately, many variables play a role in a real estate transaction which effects people's positions, and correspondingly their relative phase to each other, putting high risks on everyone's dream deal. As your agent, I make sure that all variables are well managed and that everyone is on the same page and “in-phase.” I strive for a win-win deal brought on by constructive interference.
The Zero-Point is Never Zero: Many of us have an interest in a real estate transaction, whether it is selling or buying, but sometimes we think that we are on ground zero with nothing to work with. This is at least what the classical world thinks. Luckily, the world is a quantum world where the zero-point, which corresponds to what is called the "GroundState," is never zero. Quantum uncertainties are the source of this non-zero energy state. Any quantum mechanical system can do it and so can we. As your agent, I work with you to find those hidden resources and best solutions that may lead you to your ideal real estate transaction.

Potential: What many of us sometimes forget is that a "potential" only exists between two or more individuals. For example, a gravitational potential energy exists right now between you and planet Earth. We need both of you and Earth to have the "potential." So regardless of whether you are a buyer or seller, you need the other side to “potentially” get your business done. As your agent, I create this potential by producing the other party and making the right deal happen. Can you feel the potential?!
Newton's 3rd Law: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Physics is simple and clear. Any action we initiate toward the other party is going to lead to an equivalent reaction from that party back to us. It doesn't matter who is "stronger" and who is "weaker." We all get back what we give. This is why I strongly believe in win-win situations. The idea that we win and they lose is just unreal. As your agent, I focus on our interests, achieve a meeting of the minds, and ultimately lead us to the deal of the deals.
